Come out for Please Touch Museum®'s Stroller in the Park, a playful twist on a traditional 5K walk in Fairmount Park, created exclusively for families with young children! This family-friendly event supports the Museum's Get Up and Grow™ healthy lifestyles initiatives, promoting lifelong habits that result in healthier, happier families.
Anyone who pre-registers for Stroller in the Park, by August 28th, will automatically be entered to win a Grand Prize of $1,000 in US Airways flight vouchers! Additional prizes include Family Memberships to Please Touch Museum, Gift Certificates to the Please Taste Cafe and Gift Certificates to Please Touch Museum’s Kids Store. Register now!
Stroller in the Park will follow the new 5K path through Fairmount Park, starting and ending in front of Please Touch Museum, and will feature:
- A Family Health pavilion and Healthy Food tent
- Hula hoops, jump ropes, and plenty of activities to get your body in motion
- Stretching, clapping, and cheering before the walk with a speacial appearance by the Philadelphia Phanatic
- Stroller in the Park T-shirts and walk packets for all registrants
- Congratulatory medals for all children participating
- Admission and exclusive morning access on August 29 (before 11 a.m. public opening) to Please Touch Museum for registrants.
With smaller children in mind, strollers and wagons are highly encouraged but please leave your bikes, roller blades and scooters at home.
