Make noise! Make memories! Explore the sounds and sights of the jungle when Rainforest Rhythm returns to Please Touch Museum for the summer! Experience the rainforest by beating conga drums, turning rain stick logs, listening to tropical rapids, and interacting with jungle animals.
Learn through play by making different sounds on nature-inspired musical instruments. Join a "jungle jam session" by spinning a giant rain stick, and producing rhythms on drums that resemble fallen trees. Interact with frogs, chattering monkeys, and a nine-foot stuffed forest snake. Beat out rhythms by playing the conga drum log that the life-sized elephant holds with his trunk. Explore "Storybook Cottage," an intimate area that is toddler friendly. Play the forest marimba with a pair of mallets, and then pretend to paddle down a river in a dugout canoe.
Join the chorus of nature! Rainforest Rhythm is open regular museum hours, between Saturday, May 28, 2011 and Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Entrance is included in the regular price of admission.
